Muslim Scholars in Dearborn, USA, Condemn Trump’s Anti-Iranian Threats

Muslim scholars in Dearborn condemned the threatening remarks of the warmongering U.S. president as a factor in escalating tensions.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A group of Muslim scholars in Michigan, in response to recent remarks by the warmongering U.S. president about Iran, described these statements as insulting and provocative, calling for adherence to peace and international law. This stance came after the U.S. president, in a post on his social media account, made threats against Iran's infrastructure

The Council of Imams of Michigan stated that the tone used by the president is not only inconsistent with diplomatic principles but could also lead to an escalation of regional tensions. Members of the council, noting the use of insulting language and the phrase “Praise be to Allah” in this message, considered it a sign of disrespect toward the religious beliefs of Muslims.

These religious imams, who gathered in the city of Dearborn, emphasized that the use of threatening and demeaning language in foreign policy has dangerous consequences for global peace. They also warned that such an approach could fuel widespread misunderstandings and increase mistrust among nations.

One of the imams, expressing regret over Trump's election, said, “Mr. President, you promised peace when we voted for you. Keep your word.”

Another Muslim official, referring to Trump’s obscene phrase attempting to mock Muslims, said, “The words ‘Alhamdulillah’ and ‘Allahu Akbar’ are expressions we use daily in times of hardship and ease, and they serve as a reminder that God is higher than any power in the world.”
